Did you know that your WKU Forensics Team has been the most successful collegiate forensics team in the country for the last decade? Since 2003, WKU has won the collegiate national championship eight times, and it remains the only team in the country ever to win the American Forensic Association national championship, the National Forensic Association national championship, the National Forensic Association debate national championship, and the International Forensic Association world championship in the same year, a feat WKU has accomplished five times. Next week, the team will depart for the first of the two collegiate national championship tournaments. Prior to that, we want to give the Bowling Green community and our WKU family an opportunity to see our students in action. On Saturday, March 30 at 7:30pm in the FAC Recital Hall, our speech and debate students will be giving demonstration performances of collegiate forensics events. Come hear our students give informative speeches on the evolution of modern American English, dramatic interpretations of classic and contemporary literature, impromptu speeches, and debate the topic of whether the United States Federal Government should increase assistance for sustainable and/or organic agriculture. This promises to be an entertaining evening with some of WKU’s brightest students. Come see WKU’s oldest student organization in action!
