Official says university has secured $1M, will match first $10M
With the accomplishment of a $202 million fundraising campaign now behind Western Kentucky University, more endowed scholarships pave the way to the future, the university’s director of development and alumni relations says.
Kathryn R. Costello told the WKU Board of Regents on Friday that the university has secured verbal and written commitments valued at $1 million toward endowment scholarships.
“The university will match the first $10 million in gifts received in new endowed funds,” Costello said. There will be a $25,000 minimum for a newly named endowed fund. The program is slated for the next three years, she said. […]
